After being pounded for not visiting Iraq since January 7, 2006, when he spent all of 2 days in the Green Zone, Obama is considering another trip but is it too late. He has already determined the war is lost and nothing can be accomplished by our continued presents in Iraq.
Obama told reporters in a January 7, 2006 conference call;
"If we don't see significant political progress ... over the next six months or so, we can pour money and troops in here until the cows come home, but we're not going to be successful."
He has not changed his mind and nothing he sees today will change it now. He will not admit the surge has worked. He will not credit the Iraqi military for pushing out the militant Shiite militia in Basra and bringing peace to the city. He will not admit the area known as 'The Triangle of Death is now a showplace for what the US military has accomplished. He will not admit Gen David Petraeus and Sen McCain was right about the surge. It could cost him the election and support from the left if he ever admitted there was hope for Iraq.
For the past 2 years since his visit to Iraq, Obama has relied on left wing anti-war journalist and pundits for information coming out of Iraq. Like most anti-war critics Obama has made up his mind that he cannot trust the military on the ground in Iraq but he can trust the journalist. They would never misinform Sen Obama or Speaker Pelosi. She believes and I'm sure Sen Obama concurs with the following statement;
"Some of the success of the Surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians — they decided in Basra when the fighting would end. They negotiated that cessation of hostilities — the Iranians."
This was Pelosi speaking to the San Francisco Chronicle. The truth is the cease-fire did not hold and after it broke down, Iraqi forces succeeded in driving the Shiite militias out of the city or underground.
Neither Obama or Pelosi will spend more than a couple of days in Iraq and neither will visit the troops outside of the Green Zone. If they would sit down for an honest detailed conversation with Gen Petraeus or other on-the-ground commanders, they would believe nothing they hear. Both Obama and Pelosi have their own preconceived notion that Iraq was a mistake and is a lost cause. Since Sen Reid announced on the Senate floor that the war in Iraq was lost the Democrats have all but locked step with Sen Reid.
Because in this election year the Democrats cannot afford a peaceful Iraq, it would be pointless for Obama to waist the Iraqi officials' time with a visit. Sorry Senator, you made your mind up in 2006, it's too late to change it now.

Scott McClellan From Jerk To Liberal Darling
In the eyes of the Liberal Obama supporting media, after releasing excerpts from his new book Scott McClellan has gone from a typical White House Press Secretary Jerk to a Liberal Darling. In an effort to market and cash in on his book Scott has or will hit all the major Liberal channels including CNN's Wolf Blitzer and MSNBC's Keith Olbermann.
It wasn't that long ago that the same Liberal media despised and didn't trust Scott McClellan. In his Article in the New York Times published April 23, 2006 David Sanger complains about cameras at the briefing and how all Press Secretaries since Lincoln and "IKE" are too secretive. He implies they are just there to tow the party line and only give out trivial information that people don't care about. He implies McClellan is just another loyal Bush follower that is hiding pertinent information from the media and like all Press Secretaries cannot be trusted.
Today everything has changed with Scott. The only reason for the change is his book. The same Liberal media that didn't trust him when he was the White House Press Secretary suddenly believes everything in his book to be true. People are asking why has Scott suddenly changed from a Bush supporter to another Bush basher. I believe the answer is obvious. He could never write a book supporting President Bush and the war in Iraq if he wanted to get it published and make any money. As an unemployed Ex Press Secretary, no main stream publisher would publish a book supporting this White House without the author agreeing to allow the publisher's editor to make changes the editor and publisher deemed fit. Publishers are in the business to make money. Books written in support of President Bush will not make money or reach the Best Seller's list in today's climate. If the main stream publisher doesn't believe it will make money or it is opposite of the publisher's political ideology, the book will not be published. The only other option for Scott would have been to self publish. For Scott this would not have been an option.
People also ask if what Scott is saying is not true then why would he agree to allow an editor to change his words. It may be a sad fact of life but today people with limited prospects for making a living will sell their sole for the dollar. With some people loyalty and truth can be bought when you have a family to support. Only Scott McClellan and the people that served this White House will ever know the truth about Scott's book. Seeing him on NBC, CNN, MSNBC and the other networks, that are obviously supporting Obama and have for years engaged in Bush bashing, leaves doubt in my mind about Scott's trustworthiness.

Lou Dobbs vs Gov Richardson
While Lou Dobbs is not one of my favorite people on television, Gov Richardson is even less favorite for being honest. In an interview they were discussing illegal immigration and the situation along the border. Both men failed to relate the truth when it came to Homeland Security and what the Administration is doing with the Border Patrol. Lou Dobbs is focussed more on the fence and bashing Bush than admitting there has been a substantial increase in agents. Gov Richardson is focussed on Immigration Reform and keeping the National Guard on the border.
According to the GAO and the Border Patrol they will have an estimated 15,020 Border Patrol Agents along the Southwest border by Dec 2008. Currently the Customs and Border Patrol have a new class scheduled twice a week every month until Dec 2008. They will increase the number of agents by 4,790 by year's end. So many new agents are being run through the Academy that the Border Patrol administration is complaining whether the reduced time for training is sufficient enough. Their academy in Artesia, New Mexico has always been considered one of the toughest law enforcement Academies to pass. A large number of new recruits are prior military and some have law enforcement training but even their previous training does not equal the amount of physical and academic training they must endure in this reduced training schedule. As Americans have always done, the new recruits are stepping up to the challenge and passing their exams and qualifying in higher than expected numbers. By the end of Dec 2008 the Border Patrol may reach the Administrations goal of 6,00 new Border Patrol agents. If the increase continues the number of agents along the Southwest border will increase from 12,349 in 2006 to 18,319 or more by Dec 2008.
It is easy to say the Bush Administration is doing nothing if the public is never informed. Gov Richardson says he wants the size of the Border Patrol doubled, but he like most Americans doesn't know all the training a Border Patrol Agent must have before they can ever put on the badge. Because the risks involved with being an agent to both the agent and his family are so high, most agents living in cities close to the borders will not divulge their occupation to the general public. Even with the high risks involved and the most strenuous screening process in the federal government, applications continue to at an all time high. This tells me Americans want our borders secure and they are willing to do what it takes to make sure they are secured.
Gov Richardson doesn't want the fence installed but criticizes the President for pulling out the National Guard in July. The Nation Guard are not guarding the borders. They are not in a law enforcement capacity. They are helping to build fences in certain areas and carrying out administrative duties for the Border Patrol. Unless they are given a new mission their set mission will be completed by July. Gov Richardson is using the border issue as an opportunity to continue to bash the President because Bush is a Republican. Remember Gov Richardson continues to defend his decision to give illegals a driver's license and believes the Mexican President Calderone is doing a great job.

He is starting to do the same thing with the Border Patrol that he does every night on the Iraq war. He pointed out that since 2008 2 Agents have been killed along the border and list the number of assaults. He does not mention one was an accident involving an agent in a vehicle rollover. When he gives the numbers of Americans killed in Iraq he does not mention that some of the dead were accidents and not insurgent related. This gives Americans the wrong impression about what is really going on. The fact is more Americans are killed in our own cities than they are in Iraq and the last I heard our cities were not being occupied or under insurgent attacks. Due to the increase in new agents, assaults and apprehensions are down leaving the agents to concentrate more on not only drug and human smugglers, but also gangs in cities deeper within our borders.

President lies Candidates Misspeak
Does it bother the American voter or the supporters of the candidates that when the President says something that turns out to be false its a lie, but when the Candidates say something thats false its "Misspeak". There was a time when a lie was a lie.
Since the 2004 election the media and Bush haters have not missed a beat to call President Bush a liar anytime he would misspeak, regardless of how trivial it may have been. They have worked tirelessly to search every statement to find any mistake and point it out to the public. Keith Olbermman has built his career around Bush bashing and now he is continuing it by Clinton and McCain bashing. According to Obama supporters Clinton, Bush and McCain lie but Obama only misspeaks.
The truth as to whether it is a lie or simply to misspeak depends on the circumstance surrounding the statement. If a President makes a statement that is untrue with the sole intentions of swaying the publics attention, its a lie. If he does it answering a question and its because he didn't understand the question its something different. This should be the same for the candidates.
In the case of Hillary and the "Bosnia", "NAFTA", "Northern Ireland", "Joining the Marines" and "Supporting the 2nd Amendment" statements the media called them all lies.
With Hillary on Bosnia, Northern Ireland and the 2nd Amendment I believe it was a lie intended to win votes. On NAFTA and trying to join the Marines only she knows the real truth.
McCain has been hit by the media for "Lying" about his Baghdad trip, Romney and infidelity.
With McCain and Iraq he is the only one that has been right. The media doesn't say it but the situation in Iraq is the war is about over and will end up a victory for America. The Iraqi military surprised everyone including our own military with their action in Basrah and now their moving into Sadre City. The Central government has gained control and proven their military can and will fight. If things continuing at this pace in Iraq, by the time the next President is sworn in the war will be all but over for America. Like South Korea, Japan and Germany we may have to keep forces there as a deterrent from any attacks from Al Qaeda or Iran but our military will not be the first line of defense.
With Obama statements on "Auschwitz", "Rev. Wright" and "Meeting with foreign Dictators" according to the media all are "He Misspoke".

His "Meeting With Our Enemies" statement was his effort to win the far left portion of the Democratic Party.

State of America Postville Iowa Asking For Donations?
After the raid of Agriprocessor in Postville Iowa, the mayor made the following statement asking for donations from Americans across America;
"We encourage residents to return to their homes and move forward as a community together. Anyone wishing to donate funds to the "City of Postville Relief Fund".....
What the Mayor and everyone in Postville is not telling America is the fact that the owners of Agriprocessor and the people of Postville are responsible for the illegal immigration raid. It was common knowledge in Postville that the meat processing plant was in reality operating off of economical slave labor. The investigation really began in 2004 over a fraudulent W-3 Visa. Agriprocessor was part of a scheme to help Chinese immigrants enter the U. S. legally on W-3 Visas as the employer for the immigrant. After ICE found out the immigrants would only work for 2 weeks before heading to San Fransisco and never be heard from again, ICE decided to investigate further. It was during the investigation that complaints of employee abuse by Agriprocessor supervisors became known.
It wasn't difficult for immigration and ICE investigators to find out what was going on in Postville. The initial investigation started out with a security guard answering the Agriprocessor phone and basically telling the officials what was going on, somehow the residents of Postville thought this normal procedure and actually funny. The prevailing wisdom seemed to be, if the community is making money from Agriprocessor and the immigrants, then how could it hurt anyone. Now they know when employers break the law and have to pay the consequence everybody can be hurt, including the businesses that were making money off the under payed and abused illegal immigrants.
There are still illegal immigrants hiding in the St Bridget Church that did not get caught in the Agriprocessor raid. I suspect any money that is donated will go to the illegals to fight deportation. The Postville mayor, ACLU, activist organizations and Postville residents would have you believe ICE was picking solely on Mexican illegals. The truth is of the 390 detained most of them were from Guatemala and are being charged with everything from identity theft to fraudulent use of Social Security numbers. I suspect as the investigation continues the court will find out that some of these people have committed crimes in other parts of the country before ending up in Postville. It is unclear how many people hiding in the church are wanted for similar crimes.
Similar investigations and raids are taking place around the country. Backers of "open borders" are criticizing Homeland Security for the "inhumane treatment" of the immigrants. They never speak of how conditions like the ones that existed in Postville exist all around America. In out of the way small towns around the south employers especially in the meat packing business advertise for low paying jobs in order to suppress wages and hire illegals. While they say Americans will not accept these wages the truth is a large number of Americans are existing on $7.00 to $8.00 an hour. At the time of the Postville Agriprocessor raid employees were being paid $7.25.
How will it end, I don't know.
Will I donate to Postville or feel sorry for their problems, no.

If Liberals Win The Election
Maxine Walters has made it clear what will happen if Liberal Democrats backed by Warren Buffet, George Soros and the rest of the Democracy Alliance members win the White House and Congress in the fall elections. Listen in her own words:
You didn't see much coverage on this purely Socialist statement on CNN, MSNBC, or any of the other Democracy Alliance owned media networks. The word Socialist was the word she was looking for but realized too late that saying it in front of the cameras would not sit well with true freedom loving Americans. I now understand why Sen Obama and other Liberal members of the House and Senate are so willing to talk with Venezuela President Hugo Chavez. The con man of Venezuela would be the perfect con artist to teach the Democrats how to make Americans accept nationalizing American oil companies as the 1st step to nationalizing every American company. This is just another example, although not intentional, of how some of the American Billionaires are working to gain control of the government and turn it into a Socialist America. I can only imagine the loud groan that came from the billionaires in the Democracy Alliance group when Maxine let the truth finally slip out.
This self described "leftist, liberal organization" is one of the most dangerous groups in America. We may never know who their supporters and members are but we do know you must be a committed left wing far left liberal millionaire to join this billionaire club. They will not admit in their vision statement their true intentions but Maxine Walters has made it clear to me. "Change" will be moving America away from the United States of America to the "United Socialist States of America". In their eyes if they have to destroy America in order to save her, that will be perfectly acceptable. After all a weak or floundering economy doesn't hurt the wealthy nearly as much as it does the average voter.

I now understand why Sen Obama and other Liberal members of the House and Senate are so willing to talk with Venezuela President Hugo Chavez. The con man of Venezuela would be the perfect con artist to teach the Democrats how to make Americans accept nationalizing American oil companies as the 1st step to nationalizing every American company. This is just another example, although not intentional, of how some of the American Billionaires are working to gain control of the government and turn it into a Socialist America. I can only imagine the loud groan that came from the billionaires in the Democracy Alliance group when Maxine let the truth finally slip out.
This self described "leftist, liberal organization" is one of the most dangerous groups in America. We may never know who their supporters and members are but we do know you must be a committed left wing far left liberal millionaire to join this billionaire club. They will not admit in their vision statement their true intentions but Maxine Walters has made it clear to me. "Change" will be moving America away from the United States of America to the "United Socialist States of America". In their eyes if they have to destroy America in order to save her, that will be perfectly acceptable. After all a weak or floundering economy doesn't hurt the wealthy nearly as much as it does the average voter.

Using Oil To Sway Elections
In an article in the Associated Press the authors try to explain how high prices at the pumps got to where they are today. They left out a couple of things. They didn't explain who are the investors buying "futures" in the oil market and how easy it is for the price to be manipulated by just a couple of countries like Venezuela and Iran to withhold oil from some or all of the world market. They explain that investors are simply buying oil today that will be delivered in July betting that the price for oil will be higher in July and make them a tidy profit. How many people can really take a gamble like this? Has the trading in commodities become nothing more than playing craps at a Vegas Casino? Or could it be billionaires like the following are secretly buying up the futures in oil to increase the price and convince the public that it is all President Bush and the Republican Party's fault?
Ask yourself how many of the worlds billionaires would it take to manipulate the market and the price of oil in order to gain control of the economy? At present Forbes list 897 families and individuals around the world as billionaires. Over 400 are American citizens. These are the people that can afford to gamble on the price of oil continuing to increase, not the common everyday investor. A reduction in the price of oil to them is nothing more than another tax write off. A large reduction in the price come June or July for the common investor could be a disaster. Consider if you bought futures in oil today for $135.00 a barrel and the price dropped to $80.00 over a 1 or 2 week period, what would happen to the common investor? Now consider how it would effect these billionaires. A prominent group of American billionaires and millionaires that are doing everything in their power to elect Democrats into Congress and the White House is the Democracy Alliance group. Would it be too far fetched to believe this group would invest heavily to manipulate the market if it meant gaining control of our government?

Carter blamed Americans for waste and over consuming with their big cars, remember him sitting in the White House telling Americans to drive less and put on an extra sweater like he was wearing. Why, because the world understood we had a strong President that would not back down from extortion and threats from other countries. Will Americans allow themselves to be manipulated and swayed into false hopes and promises by a few self interested and greedy billionaires? Only time will tell.

State of America= Danger Level
What we are witnessing today is no different than what we experienced during the Carter administration of the 70s. The only thing Congress and the administration could do then was blame the American people for consuming and wasting too much energy (gas). At the time America imported less than 1/3 of our oil from foreign countries. Today we import over 1/2 of our oil from foreign countries. Whose really to blame? Congress, our courts and the environmentalist that have steadfastly refused to allow drilling for our own oil to be used by America for America.
The answer for lowering high cost at the pumps is not alternative fuels or consuming less. It is today the same as it was in the 70s, allow for an increase in supply to satisfy the demand. Calls by Congress for an increase in technology and an increase in alternative fuels is the same old rhetoric we heard from the Carter administration. It did nothing then and will do nothing today except cause a drop in American production and lead to a higher unemployment rate.
While Congress wraps itself around the upcoming presidential election, they seem content to continue to do nothing but blame someone else for their failures. Their answer to our problems is simply hold hearings to blame Corporate America, Rural and Suburban Americans that drive SUV s or pickup trucks, President Bush and the American consumer. Being self reliant on our own domestic oil has no place in the minds of this Democratic led Congress, the same way it has been rejected ever since the Carter Administration.
Terrorist and Countries that sponsor terrorist have figured out they cannot beat America on the battlefield and with this President they cannot successfully attack us at home. They have figured out they can brings to our knees by attacking our economy. What is the best way to destroy the American economy? The answer is simple, attack our oil supply. They know America is so divided on the issue of domestic drilling and being free from foreign oil dependence, that we will sit by and watch our country fall into a 30s style Depression before we will risk drilling in our own country or even offshore. They are sitting in their caves and palaces laughing as China drills 60 miles from Miami, Fl. Iran is currently filling tankers and stock piling oil off their coast. Venezuela has reduced it's supply to America. Russia is keeping more of their supplies at home for domestic use. Mexico and Canada cannot keep up with the added burden created by these countries keeping their oil off the world market. Saudi Arabia is so afraid of Iran they will not increase production. The speculators investing in oil on wallstreet are getting rich.
We grew up expecting the 21st century to be a technological world full of new and wondrous inventions that would free us from the combustion engines and an oil based economy. It didn't happen as we entered the 21st century and it will not happen in the near future. There are no batteries capable of sustaining electric cars that will stand up to the type of driving required by the American consumer or commercial industry. Countries and inventors around the world have been trying for 100 years to design a battery that can withstand repeated charging and the natural drain from a change in temperature. If you try to drive an electric car in temperatures less than 40 degrees Fahrenheit you will find the distance you can drive will be cut in half. If you try to operate it in mountainous or rough terrain areas the same will apply.
The great Alternative fuel debate. Ethanol is really nothing more than our grandfathers moonshine. Did it work in his car, yes to some extent. The older cast iron leaded engines could withstand a lot more than aluminum cast lead free engines we use today. The difference with ethanol and our grandfathers moonshine is simply the water content between the two. Moonshine is made and distilled with the very same ingredients as ethanol. Ethanol is simply taken one step further until all the water has been taken out leaving pure ethanol capable of mixing with gas. Because ethanol burns at such a higher temperature and is more flammable than lead free gas, it is unlawful to operate a vehicle in America on 100% ethanol. Filling a vehicle with pure ethanol is like placing a bomb in you car and hoping you don't get into an accident. Adding more than 20% of ethanol to gas will eventually destroy a lead free engine in American cars. Add the cost to our food supply by using corn or sugar and yeast to create ethanol and the only people that gain from it are farmers, not American but foreign producers because America can never produce enough to keep up with the demand.
All the other alternative fuel ideas are 30 years or more into the future before they can become readily available. American industry and the transportation system in America cannot change from oil and petroleum products in less than 30 years. To believe we can overnight completely eliminate the combustion engine and replace it with some futuristic engine that does not rely on a petroleum based fuel is like believing Alice In Wonderland was fact and not fiction. If you want to see the price at the pumps come down, open up America to domestic drilling. If you want to see America continue to slide toward Depression, continue on our current path.
The state of America is at a danger level today, if the price of oil continues to increase we could see the level fall to catastrophic within the next 90 days. Is this what Congress is hoping for just so it will help in the fall election? You tell me.

Appeasing Our Enemies
By sitting down with leaders that are sworn enemies of America and Israel we are doing nothing less than giving in to our enemies. If Barack Obama believes he can somehow persuade dictators and radical religious fanatics to simply change their views by personally negotiating with him, then he is far more arrogant and naive than I ever could imagine one man could be. For no other reason we must support John McCain and stop the surrender.

Obama Just Another Jimmy Carter?
After learning more about the people in Barack Obama's past, I finally understand his commitment to meet with enemies of America and leaders of terrorist states. He has been meeting with and using homegrown enemies of America for a large portion of his political career. I understand his decision to use previous members of the Weather Underground and Pastor Wright to advance his political career, but it doesn't make it right.
The more I hear from Obama leaves me to question, Are we getting ready to elect another Jimmy Carter?
Young voters today have no idea of how bad it was during the Carter years. The media and most college professors gloss over this period in time. Those of us that made the mistake of voting for him remember vividly how weak this man really was and the damage to America's security he caused by backing down to every terrorist organization that challenged us during his presidency.
Since President Carter left office he has traveled the world meeting with every leader that is Anti-American and Anti-Israel. Now he is meeting with the leader of Hamas. An organization that not only America but most of the free world has declared a terrorist organization. Carter's speeches and actions have done nothing but undercut American security and encouraged hatred for both America and Israel form the time he was elected to present date. I fear if we elect Sen Obama we will be revisiting the Carter presidency for the next 4 years. With the world teetering on another world war we better ask ourselves if we can afford another Carter Administration.
