America's Most Dangerous People

by Ron Spangler

An American hero was laid to rest today but most Americans watching American television went on with their lives unaware of the ultimate sacrifice of another brave American along our southern border.

The family of Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas held a private ceremony for the father, husband, and son after his execution style murder by illegals crossing the San Diego California border.

Agent Rosas was murdered Thurs. July 24, 2009. The media coverage has been limited at best. Except for a very short statement on the Welcome Obama website, the President has said nothing publicly about the murder or if he is even concerned.

Director Janet Napolitano has followed the President's lead and also issued a short statement on the Homeland Security website.

It is self evident that the murder of Agent Rosas is not a high priority of the America media, the President, or Homeland Security Director Napolitano. As an American, I can only express to the family of Agent Rosas my deepest sympathy and embarrassment for the callous way this President, Director and media personnel have handled the execution of an American Agent by foreign citizens on our own soil.

This should be treated the same as a terrorist crossing our border, killing our agents that have sworn to protect those borders and escaping back to Mexico. Unfortunately it seems that this President, Director and the media think the Border Patrol agents lives are not significant enough to garner national attention.

Maybe they believe this is just a local or regional crime that doesn't warrant national attention, unlike the great Cambridge crime that ended with the Great Summit and weeks of mindless media coverage.

What minuscule amount of national coverage that has been given to the death of Agent Rosas has been embarrassing at best. The only decent amount of time was given on the Foxnews channel with Hemmer and Kelly. Unfortunately Megan Kelly undermined the story by laughing and joking about the booking photo of one of the suspects holding a Border Patrol pistol.

What kind of a message does this send to the drug cartels, terrorist and criminals that are illegally crossing our borders in the dead of night?

Are we as Americans sleeping securely in are beds really safe if we allow the people that risk their lives to be executed without a national outcry?

The media has done a very good job of downplaying the murder of Agent Rosas the same as they have downplayed the lousy and shameful job of the Department of Justice to extradite the murderer of Border Patrol Agent Aguilar. He was murdered January 19, 2008 by Jesus Navarro Montes who sits in a Mexican jail and was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for 2nd degree murder back in May 2009.

This is not the first time Montes has been held in a Mexican jail after witnesses said he intentionally ran down Agent Aguilar. Montes was captured, held then released by Mexican police back in 2008 shortly after the death of the agent. Montes was almost captured by Border Patrol Agents in February 2009 while leading illegals across the border. He was able to escape back into Mexico but was apprehended by Mexican police along the border. Since that time he has been sitting in the Mexican jail while our Federal Attorney's twiddle their thumbs.

So who are America's Most Dangerous People?

President Barrack Obama

Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano

Justice Department Director and the Federal Prosecutors Handling These Cases

and

The American Media That Believes The Great Beerfest Summit Is More Important Than The Lives Of Our Border Patrol Agents.

Another Border Patrol Agent Murdered

by Ron Spangler

In less than 2 yrs another BP agent has been killed by Mexican illegals. What will the US government and President Obama do, NOTHING.

Agent Robert Rosas a 3 yr BP agent was shot to death while tracking illegals that had crossed the border Thursday night.

According to a Associated Press article " The Los Angeles Times reported that police in Tecate, Mexico, said Friday they had arrested an injured man walking near the crime scene with a Border Patrol-issued weapon shortly after the shooting. The man, Ernesto Parra Valenzuela, 36, was taken to a hospital, according to a news release."

The news release did not say what type of injury Valenzuela sustained but there have been reports that the killing of Agent Rosas looked more like an execution than a gunfight.

The President has said nothing about the killing, he is to busy worried about how the Cambridge police investigates reports of burglaries in process.

Just like the killing of Senior Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar on January 19, 2008, I believe nothing will be done about the death of Agent Rosas.

The murderer of Agent Aguilar has been in the custody of Mexican police not once but twice and never turned over to US officials.

How many more must die in the line of duty before Americans start to care about the people that are trying to protect us and enforce our laws?

Its time Americans call Congress and the President, tell them to stop with the Health Care B.S. and raise hell with Mexico. If they will not release these murderers of American citizens we can always come and get them ourselves.

Sorry to be so long but enough is enough.

My deepest sympathy and regrets go out to Agent Rosas' family.

Chicago Politics In White House

Digg!

By Ron Spangler

President Obama's meeting with the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) director is nothing more than Chicago style politics running wild in the White House. It has been and always will be a normal political tactic to extort or pressure anyone that disagrees with a Illinois public official or Chicago public official if that person or agency gets in the politician's way.

In the recent past no President has called the Director of CBO into the White House, basically calling on the carpet, simply because the President did not like or was upset with a report coming from the CBO.

We will never know what was said in this meeting or how much pressure the CBO director will undergo to change the damning numbers that have been released concerning the House bill for Health Care Reform.

What we must watch for is a sudden change in the numbers benefiting the House Bill. With pressure from a Democrat run House, Senate and White House I would expect there will be another look at the numbers by the CBO and another report will be submitted that "clarifies and better reflects a more accurate picture of the actual numbers for the House Bill."

Of course this will be nothing more than double talk to hide the fact that the Director does not want to loose his job. How could this happen you ask? Simple "the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate jointly appoint the CBO Director, after considering recommendations from the two budget committees. The term of office is four years, with no limit on the number of terms a Director may serve. Either House of Congress, however, may remove the Director by resolution."

The pressure on the Director is self evident by the statement in his blog,

"I presented CBO’s assessment of the challenges of reducing federal health outlays and improving the long-term budget outlook while simultaneously expanding health insurance coverage–just as we had explained these challenges in a letter to Senator Conrad and Senator Gregg last month. I also described CBO’s view of the effects of the health legislation we have seen so far, as I did last Thursday in a hearing at the Senate Budget Committee and a mark-up at the House Ways and Means Committee. In addition, I discussed various policy options that could produce budgetary savings in the long run, drawing on CBO’s Budget Options for Health Care released in December, our letter to Senators Conrad and Gregg last month, and my comments last Thursday. Other participants in the meeting expressed their own views on these various topics."

Question, What were the views of other participants?

So much for the promised Obama transparency. Associated Press :

"And just over two months before the 2008 election, Obama promised before an audience in Chester, Va., to hash out a health care overhaul in public."

"We'll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies,"

As reported by FoxNews

With President Obama's secret government (32 Czars) in mind, one has to wonder how far will this President go to turn this country into his own idea of a Socialist America and when will Americans say Enough?

Government verses Private Insurance

While the debate rages on in Washington over Government run verses Private insurance for all Americans, one simple solution has been completely ignored. Open up the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program to everyone.

This like all employer group plans determines the cost of premiums by the number of people enrolled. The government like every other employer pays the greater part of the premium and the employee pays the smaller portion.

In the case of the government they actually dictate to the insurance companies the benefits they can offer and have a greater control of the cost of the premiums. In the old days under Blue Cross Blue Shield an employee had 100% of the cost for medical expenses covered by their plan. The government believed this was causing a high amount of employee absenteeism (calling in sick) so they told the insurance companies they had to curtail their benefits and could no longer pay 100% of an employees medical expenses.

Blue Cross Blue Shield sued but lost their case and the benefits were reduced. Now its pretty much standard policy that the insurance companies pay no more than 80% of the prevailing or reasonable fee for a particular treatment, after the annual deductibles and co-pays have been satisfied. This went down in the late 70s, early 80s.

There are people that believe opening up FEHB to everyone will not work. With all of the control Congress now has over the insurance companies that participate in the plan I cannot buy into the theory that it will not reduce the overall costs of premiums. With the increase in the numbers of people paying premiums the cost would absolutely be reduced.

The major benefit people receive from enrolling in the FEHB program is competition. The individual can pick the insurance provider, the types of benefits and control the amount they are willing to pay each and every year.

Are all Federal Employees or Retirees happy with the program or the cost, no. But, overall it is a successful program and would help to reduce the healthcare cost in America. It would also keep America from going bankrupt during a Recession and by allowing small business to join the program many more unisured Americans could be insured.

Congress will never allow small business into their exclusive club. They are above the average American and therefore must be treated better than everyone alse.

The public can find out more by going to

Vectrix Closing Doors

by Ron Spangler

Remember way back when?

The economy started its rapid decent and oil prices started climbing to unbelievable new highs.

The answer coming from the left and the Obama supporting public was new technology like electric means of transportation will save us all. The idea was nothing new but the sales hype and marketing scams that took advantage of the high cost of gasoline convinced the public that there really was new and better technology available for electric cars and motorcycles.

One of the biggest marketing scams was the Vectrix Scooter. It was even featured on cable news sites like FoxNews and CNN as the way of the future for motorcycle enthusiasts. Things have changed a little since I first blogged about the Vectrix fiasco. In my blog dated August 4, 2008
, Vectrix Electric Scooter Another Failure?, I laid out the facts not only about the Vectrix but also questioned if this type of technology was something that was feasible for America. Very few news organizations are reporting that the answer to that question, especially as it relates to Vectrix Corporation, is beginning to be answered. Vectrix is closing the doors. As reported by SmallCapsNews.co.uk Vectrix has laid off most of its employees and looking to sell the company or go into bankruptcy.

Obama supporters and the 'greenies' will say its simply the economy and sells are down because of lower gas prices and people have different priorities due to high unemployment. They will probably point out that motorcycles and motor scooters are not meant to be the sole means of transportation but are more like a luxury item similar to yachts and other sporting goods.

The truth is really this, the technology for electric vehicles is still a dismal failure for America.

In America one size does not fit all. What's good for the cities may not be good for rural America. President Obama as the new CEO of Government Motors, previously known as General Motors, is counting on this type of technology to save the American auto industry. By doing so I'm afraid we will find ourselves witnessing another Vectrix fiasco.

If you did not read my blog way back when, then read it and think about whether or not the new electric cars that are heading our way will be nothing more than another Vectrix false promise and marketing scam that will cost the new owners of Government Motors, you and me, more than we will ever know. Will it turn the American Auto industry into another Amtrack?

Before I am attacked by all the 'greenies' remember this, the same technology behind the Vectrix Maxi and similar electric scooters is the same technology President Obama is counting on in the new and improved auto industry of the future.

God and Country Is Over For America

After 42 years (since 1967) of celebrating "god and country" and paying tribute to our service men and women, President Obama has brought the Pentagon's contribution to the celebration to an abrupt end.

By changing the policy of "military fly overs" President Obama has reversed the policy of both Democrat and Republican past Presidents. Our question is why change the policy simply because the sponsors of the celebration are Christian? Would it be different if it was a Muslim organization honoring "god and country".

Presidents that have approved the past policy:

Johnson
Nixon
Ford
Carter
Reagan
Bush
Clinton
Bush
